Do you offer gift certificates for fishing charters?

  • We absolutely do!

  • Consider reserving a trip for the office staff, team building or employee appreciation.

Should you tip?

It is customary to tip for good service. Trips are expensive, the cost of the trip covers many of the expenses, but the tip is what is earned for the effort put forth to ensure you have a safe, fun, and productive trip. 20% is customary.

What is the cancellation policy?

  • The captain may cancel the Fishing Charter for weather or mechanical issues at any time. You will be rescheduled or refunded if unable to reschedule. Only the Captain may cancel for weather.
  • No call no show no refund will be issued.
  • The real point is that he wants to take you fishing, we don’t want to charge you and not take you fishing. But if you cancel last minute you leave a captain onshore without someone to go fishing with. Within the 24-hour window, they likely passed up the opportunity to take someone else. Let’s just go fishing

Do I need a fishing license?

Yes, anyone over the age of 16 is required to have a fishing license if on the boat, even if they are just along for the ride.

What kind of fish will you catch?

  •  Salmon – Chinook & Coho
  •  Trout – Steelhead, Lake & Brown

Will the captain clean our catch?

Absolutely, we have a fish cleaning station at our marina. Your guide would be happy to clean and bag your fish. Ask about our Catch and Cook restaurants in Manistee.

Is there a bathroom on the boat?

Yes, the boat is equipped with a bathroom.  If you have questions about using the bathroom, don’t be shy. Let the captain know what you need. He will be happy to make sure you’re comfortable.

Can we bring spray sunscreen on our Fishing Charter?

Our preferred method is long sleeve SPF shirts, gaiters and hats. They work great, keep you cool and you won’t have to worry about forgetting to reapply.

If you choose to use sunscreen, please apply before getting on the boat and if planning to reapply please do not bring spray sunscreen.  Sunscreen lotions only as the overspray can get on the lures, rods & reels affecting performance.  It also makes it hard to clean the deck.
